Global markets soar and oil tumbles as US-Iran deal promises to reopen Strait of Hormuz

DNyuz—The Dow closed up more than 450 points at a record high, Japan's Nikkei surged toward the 70,000 threshold, and South Korea's KOSPI also closed sharply higher as investors cheered a framework deal to end the US-Iran war. Oil prices fell sharply on expectations the Strait of Hormuz — through which roughly 20% of global oil and LNG traffic flows — will reopen under the final pact.
