"Top Gun: Maverick" Actor James Handy, 81, Stabbed to Death at His Home

—James Handy, the veteran character actor with nearly 150 screen credits including "Top Gun: Maverick," was stabbed to death outside his Tarzana, California home. His girlfriend's son, Michael Gledhill, 44, was arrested; he told 911 dispatchers "I am the son of man" and had reportedly stopped taking schizophrenia medication, according to his mother. Handy's wife said he had left for his morning routine and the next time she saw him he was beneath a blanket.
